The Annual 5th Grade Gingerbread Houses
Another year of 5th grade Candy Houses is complete! Students had to plan and construct their own house structure (and trouble-shoot when a roof caved in!) For building materials each student got 20 crackers, a 1/2c of frosting, and a bowl of candy to decorate with. If extra materials were needed, kids had to “purchase” more from the teachers (each had a fake budget of $10.) It was impressive to see them show off their creativity and problem solving skills. Mrs. Robben thinks that this year MAY have been the 25th year of doing this project!. One thing is for sure, each class looks forward to it!
