Q&A with Dr. Steve Hawley. Steven Alan Hawley is a former NASA astronaut who flew on five U.S. Space Shuttle flights. He is a professor of physics and astronomy and director of engineering physics at the University of Kansas.
This will give kids that didn't get a question answered during the live downlink a chance to ask an astronaut in person.
During this time, if technology and/or time allows, we might be able to take questions from our students via a zoom link.
9:45 am
Event Ends
Note: Below is information on where to watch the event if people can't make it to the viewing
- Watch the full program (Living in Space, Downlink and Q&A) on the Cosmosphere’s Facebook live video stream
- If you cannot access Facebook, the entire program will also be available at www.cosmomeeting.com. This is a Zoom meeting link, which will be live for the event, but is just a landing page at the moment.
- If you wish to only watch the downlink conversation, you may do so using NASA TV

Congratulations to the following students who were selected to attend the NASA downlink in Hutchinson to represent Hoxie Schools.

Hoxie will have a unique opportunity for live communication with Nick Hauge and the other astronauts aboard the International Space Station. I have been working with NASA, the Kansas Cosmosphere and a few other Kansas schools to prepare for the live event the morning of May 10th. All are welcome to attend and we will have more information as we get closer to the date.
The first step was for students to submit questions that NASA would screen. There were nearly 300 questions submitted by the participating schools and the following students' questions were selected from Hoxie.
Congratulations to 10 Hoxie students whose questions were selected.
