What are your plans after high school? I will be attending Fort Hays State University, majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-occupational therapy, and minoring in psychology.
What is your favorite school subject? Calculus and physics.
What person (other than your parents) has had the greatest influence on you and why? Kayla Geerdes has had the greatest influence on my life. Not only has Kayla shown me what a true friend is like, but she has also taught me how to enjoy every moment and aspect of life.
What is your favorite memory during high school so far? Making it to state track my freshman year and being a part of the state champion 4x800 team.
What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far? I have stayed true to myself and my values. Many students find themselves changing in order to fit in, but fitting in doesn't matter if you can't be yourself or if you have to do things that go against what you value.
What is some advice you would give to underclassmen? Take everything one step at a time! High school can be overwhelming at times, but everything will get better and work out in the end. Make the best out of every moment and situation because it goes by very fast. Lastly, stay true to yourself and stand up for what you believe in, no matter what.
What extracurricular activities have you been involved in? (list # of years) I have done basketball, volleyball, track, CYO, and FCCLA all four years of high school.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? In ten years I see myself working as a licensed occupational therapist hopefully, back in northwest Kansas.
What will you miss the most about HHS? My teachers and coaches because they have pushed me to be the best version of myself that I can be. I will also miss all of the support and advice that they have offered me throughout the years.
