SCHOLARSHIPS
Quality Leadership Scholarships: The Kansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO) will offer four $500.00 Quality Leadership Scholarships to graduating seniors. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must: have a cumulative seventh semester GPA of 3.25 and have a minimum ACT composite score of 22. Stop by the counseling office for an application or visit www.kacrao.org . Application Deadline is March 12, 2010.
Kansas NTO Scholarship: Kansas NTO Scholarship will award one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who will enroll in a gender nontraditional career technical education program. A list of gender nontraditional occupations is located at www.kspds.org/IR/KSPSD/gender_non-traditonal_occupations.shtml. For more information, stop by the counseling office. Application Deadline is March 12, 2010.
PRIMO Scholarship: Three $500.00 scholarships will be awarded by PRIMO to graduating seniors whose parents are customers of a KS PRIMO member company (Nex-Tech or Rural Telephone). To be eligible, you must plan to attend a Kansas university, college or technical school and major in Marketing, Public Relations or any other telecommunications field. Applications are available at www.ruraltelephone.com or www.nex-tech.com and look under the scholarship tab. Applications deadline is March 12, 2010.
S & T Telephone Scholarships: Twelve scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors. To be eligible for these scholarships, the student must reside in the S & T exchange area and have a 2.5 GPA. For an application, stop by the counseling office or visit www.sttelcom.com and click on Corporate Office. Application Deadline is March 20, 2010.
The Jim Johnson Memorial Scholarship: The High Plains Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association will award a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior who will be pursuing a career in one of the physical sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, and Earth Science). For more information and an application, stop by the counseling office or visit www.highplains-amsnwa.org. Application Deadline is April 1, 2010.
Decatur Cooperative Association Scholarship: Decatur Co-op will award four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors whose parents are members of the Decatur Co-op. You must have a 2.5 GPA and have shown respect for students, citizens of the school and community, respect for public and private property, demonstrate leadership and a desire to achieve excellence through good school attendance. For an application, stop by the counseling office or visit www.decaturcoop.net under the forms tab. Application Deadline is April 2, 2010.
Kansas Junior Golf Scholarship: The Kansas Golf Foundation will award five $1250 scholarships to graduating seniors who have participated in junior golf activities (high school golf, etc.) For more information and an application, visit www.kansasgolf.org (click on Kansas Golf Foundation and follow the links for Scholarships). Application Deadline is April 2, 2010.
North Central Kansas Technical College will award 24 departmental scholarships ($500 each). For more information, stop by the counseling office or visit www.ncktc.eud . Application Deadline is April 15, 2010.
Kansas Masonic Foundation will be sponsoring its annual Student Loan Program. For more information on this program, stop by the counseling office. Application Deadline is April 15, 2010.
