Hoxie's Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

It is time for Hoxie's Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament!  Information is below.  If you and your team would like to participate, you can download and print an entry from with one of the links at the end of this article.  There are three links provided.  Click the one that best applies.  If you do not wish to play, be a fan and come cheer on the teams.  We hope to see you there!

 

When:  Saturday, April 17, 2010; entry forms and fees due by Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Location:  Hoxie High School & Hoxie Middle School Gyms – 1625 & 1100 Queen Ave., Hoxie

Age Divisions:  Boys and Girls-separate divisions. K1st-2nd(lower goals), 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, 7th-8th, 9th-10th, 11th-12th

Entry Fee:  $10.00 per player, 3 players per team only.  The deadline for entry forms and money is Tuesday, April 13th, 2010. Please make checks made payable to: Hoxie Indian Basketball

Admissions:  $1.00 per person (players excluded). Age 5 and under are free.

Registration:  Please register ½ hour before your first scheduled game.

Concessions:  Available throughout the day at both locations.

Awards:  T-shirts and medals will be awarded to 1st place winners of each division.  Medals will be awarded to 2ndplace winners of each division.

Game Times:  Will be posted here on Thursday, April 15th.

RULES

  1. Games will be played for 12 minutes or a 25-point spread, whichever comes first.
  2. 1 point per basket, 3-point range is worth 2 points.
  3. Official time-out only for injury.
  4. 5 fouls per team.  Any foul after the 5th, the opposing team is awarded a point and the ball.  In OT fouls do not carry over.  After the 2nd team foul a point will be awarded.
  5. No free throws.  The ball changes possession.
  6. Checking is required on a made basket.  You must take the ball back to the 3-point line on every change of possession (even on air balls and steals).
  7. Overtime-flip coin to determine possession.  1st basket wins. 
  8. No coaches.  Players should dress alike.
  9. There will be a 2-minute break between games.  Lateness will forfeit game.  Be ready to play.
  10. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in forfeit of all games.
