Reading Deck
Reviewing letters G, W, V, and X, the –up, -ut, and –un word families, and the sight words she, he, has, and look are some of the areas our reading stories are focusing on this week. We also read a couple plays, “The Small Brown Dog” and “Stone Soup”. We talked about what scripts are, how people are characters, and different aspects of plays.
Math Deck
We took our test over subtraction and are starting our geometry unit.
Social Studies/Science Deck
In science, we talked and read about different animal characteristics and how animals are similar and how they are different.
Events/ Etc…
The students did a great job at the spring concert this week. We celebrated in class by having ice cream sundaes for snack the next day.
We have started practicing our songs for graduation this week. We wanted to wait until the spring concert was over so we didn’t mix up our actions to the songs with our spring concert actions.
