Hoxie Jr. High Defeat Wildcats

The Jr. High Hoxie Indians played their 6th game of the year. They played the Oakley Wildcats. The Indians got the ball on the starting kickoff. Dillon ran it to the end zone for a touchdown. The 2-point conversion was no good. The score was 6-0. The defense held the Wildcats to a punt. The Indians drove and Dylan sprinted around the outside to score a touchdown. The 2-point conversion was successful. Jaxsen kicked off and the Wildcats were stopped. The Indians came out and forced Oakley to fumble. Dylan had a run to take it across the goal line for 28 yards. The extra point was no good. The score was now 0-0. The quarter ended and the Hoxie defense went out on the field. The Indians came out in the 2nd quarter and played tough defense. The first play the Indians got the ball back and Dylan had a 69-yard touchdown run. Missing the 2-point conversion, the Indians were up 26-0. Jaxsen kicked off again to the 30-yard line. The Wildcats passed and Dylan was there to hit the receiver who fumbled and Dayle picked it up and ran back for a touchdown. The 2-point conversion was no good; the score was now 32-0. The Indians went out for defense, stopped Oakley, and took over on downs on the Oakley 37. Colton had many runs this drive and got to the 1-yard line. Dillon scored on a 1-yard touchdown. The 2-point conversion was good. The score was 40-0. The 2nd quarter ended make the first half score 40-0. The Indians kicked off to start the 2nd half. Oakley started on the 37 yard line. The Wildcats slowly moved the ball. The end of the 3rd quarter ended with Oakly still moving the ball. The Indians got the ball back after stopping the Wildcats on the 1-yard line. Hoxie got to the 25 and Dayle broke through the middle for a touchdown, but it was called back for an illegal block. As time was winding down, the Indians just held it. The Indians finished the game 40-0, their record this year so far is 5-1. Next week they will host the Quinter bulldogs for the final game of the season.
