Jr. High Indians Defeat Sainty

The Hoxie Jr. High Indians defeated the St. Francis Indians last Thursday. Hoxie started the game by kicking off. They played good defense and got the ball back. Dillon rumbled his way in the end-zone for the first touchdown, making it 6-0. The Indians came out on the field playing solid defense. Dylan got an interception and scored. Getting the extra point, the game was 14-0. Hoxie then kicked off and the St. Francis Indians returned the kick for a touchdown but missed the extra point, making the game 14-6. Hoxie got the ball back and started driving. The Hoxie Indians were pushing the ball towards the end zone. Britton, with a run around the outside, brought the Hoxie Indians to a 22-6 lead. The two teams both played good defense and ended the first half at 22-6. The Hoxie Indians got the ball, at the start of the 2nd half. Both teams played good defense with the teams changing possessions several times. Dylan got a fumble recovery. The Indians drove the ball and turned it over on downs. With time winding down in the 3rd quarter, Hoxie got the ball back. The 3rd quarter ended. The beginning of the 4th quarter saw Hoxie driving the ball toward the end zone. Colton threw a pass that went right through Dylan's hands. The next play the Indians took the ball and got down to the four-yard line. Colton ran it in for a touchdown. Hoxie missed the extra point, making the score 28-6. That's how the game would end, making the Hoxie Indians 4-1 on the year. The team will travel to Oakley next week to take on the Plainsmen.
